The hotel has an excellent location and a welcoming staff that made our stay enjoyable. Although there were issues with the water pressure and housekeeping efficiency, these were addressed promptly. The rooftop pool offered beautiful views and the evening wine reception was a delightful touch.

The central courtyard offered excellent sound insulation, making for a peaceful stay. We were pleasantly surprised to discover the charming ambiance of the old convent, which held so much character that it made our experience delightful.

    Dining options seemed limited overall.

    dusty room

The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the

room cleanliness left much to be desired. Our room was dusty, and some amenities were lacking. The location was perfect for exploring, which we loved, yet we wished the overall upkeep was better.

    beautiful building
    wine and cheese reception

The wine and cheese reception was a pleasant surprise. I appreciated the beautiful building that really felt like you were stepping back in time. it was also easy to walk to so many places from there.

It wasn't inexpensive but still acceptable.

Charming Location with Room for Improvement

I loved the quaint atmosphere and central location, perfect for exploring San Juan. The Garden Terrace was peaceful, yet we encountered some cleanliness issues. Dining options were delightful, particularly the breakfast offerings, but ensure to confirm any special requests in advance. A charming stay with some hiccups to address!

We had an awesome time staying in this historic gem! The rooftop pool had stunning views, and we enjoyed wine and cheese every evening. Perfectly located for exploring nearby beaches and the vibrant nightlife. Staff was super friendly and always helpful. Don't miss the delicious food at the onsite restaurant!

The check-in process was a bit chaotic for us. We arrived earlier and had to wait longer than expected for our room, which wasn't ready until after the scheduled time.

    homemade ice cream

The homemade ice cream is a must-try, and you can easily unwind at the rooftop bar with fabulous views. Plus, the location is spot on—everything’s a stroll away! The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming vibe.

The WiFi could use a boost. connecting with the room bill was tricky. While the decor looked fab online, the room felt a smidge cramped and lacked a large mirror.

I absolutely loved the historic charm of Hotel El Convento. The elegant architecture and beautiful Spanish furniture created a warm atmosphere. The courtyard was a delightful space to relax, and it was easily accessible, which I appreciated as a senior.

More seating options in common areas would be appreciated.
